Happy New Year!

New Year's Resolution - update our blog more often!

Happy 2009! The year has started out very quiet and relaxing we are still awaiting the happy and healthy arrival of "Peanut" our little bundle of joy, we are getting very anxious to meet him. We still have a week or two until the "official" due date though. We did install the car seat yesterday, perhaps that will prompt him...

Christmas was nice but very different for us this year. For the first time in 28 (27 living years) I missed Christmas with my family and Christmas Eve festivities at Grandma and Grandpa Poore's. The week was very hard on me since we didn't see any of my family. We recived lots of phone calls and one very memorable "Christmas Caroling" voicemail from the St. Louis and Kansas City family, it was a hoot. One part I missed the most was my nephews and cousins opening gifts, the younger kids are so fun to watch. Evan's family was wonderful, we all went to Christmas Eve services together and had a nice dinner Christmas Day.
